He thinks Miss Bethune may visit and he hopes that he and Catherine will visit Emilia's cottage tomorrow. He wonder that they have not asked for provisions. He has sent the boy with potatoes and liquor, although they have run out of meat and will not buy any until they can get some for Emilia. Alexander notes other purchases to be sent, including nails and a pane of glass. He hopes to keep Rory for a day or two at the garden. |
