NotesSir Thomas Hanmer, 4th Baronet (1677-1746) British politician, was not a Fellow of the Royal Society. He had no heir so the baronetcy became extinct and was created again in 1774 for Sir Walden Hanmer, 1st Baronet (1717–1783). Walden’s son Sir Thomas Hanmer, 2nd Baronet (1747-1828), British politician, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1804.
