Included in the file are copies of Sir John Vane's statement and articles pertaining to the hearing which he has annotated. The hearing concerned a legal case between Merck Sharp & Dohme and Boehringer Ingelheim regarding the NSAIDs that each marketed in the Netherlands, and whether or not Meloxicam (marketed by Boehringer Ingelheim) is a COX-2 selective NSAID. Sir John Vane attended the hearing on behalf of Boehringer Ingelheim.
