Description | Part of a letter [LBO/7/5] from Mr Lister, written at York, and sent to Mr Oldenburg, entitled ' Some observations about the Astroites ' In the letter these are described as; ' which are stones also ionted like the others, but not found that i know of, in the same Rockes. And we must crosse the plain contrey, and seeke for them hard under the York-shire wooldes : For what store I could procure of them, were brought me from Bugthorpe and Leppington. ...'
