Citation | Shutt, William James (Liverpool). D.Sc. (Manchester). University Lecturer in Electrochemistry, Department of Inorganic and Physical Chemistry, The University, Liverpool. Distinguished for his researches in electrochemistry, particularly in connection with overvoltage, passivity and dielectric capacity. In connection with the last named subject the candidate has succeeded in establishing the 'force' method as a method of high precision for the determination of dielectric capacity of conducting and non-conducting liquids at low frequencies (cf. Proc. Roy. Soc. A, 157, 359, 1936) and has thus notably extended existing knowledge regarding the behaviour of electrolytes, including amphyolytes. Number of original papers published, 16. Other publications, 1. List attaached. |
