CreatorBaxter; Alexander (fl.1770s-1790s); British meteorologist
Date18 March 1785-31 March 1786
DescriptionDaily meteorological observations made mainly at Odiham, Hampshire, but also at Kensington, Middlesex. At Odiham, single morning and afternoon observations are presented on opposing pages: the former made on the hour, usually at 8.00am but with some variation, and the latter on the hour varying from 1.00pm to 6.00pm.

Columns for day, date and hour of observation, wind direction, barometer and thermometer readings, and general weather observations.

Entries for observations at locations other than those at Odiham generally appear in red ink. These include London, Lincoln and Eaton [p.3], Winchester [p.7], and at Kensington [pp.16-19].
