DescriptionDaily meteorological observations made at Odiham, Hampshire. Single morning and afternoon observations are presented on opposing pages: the former made on the hour, ranging between 7.00am and 9.00am, and the latter on the hour varying from 3.00pm to 9.00pm. Columns for day, date and hour of observation, wind direction, barometer and thermometer readings, and general weather observations. With rainfall in inches.

Commencing [p.1] with notes on the location of thermometers: 'The Thermometer within Door is on the North Side in the Shade. And that out of Doors is on the same side, where the Sun never touches'. There is an extended description of the type of rain collecting vessel.

Title page [p.1] inscribed: 'Copy of A Meteorological Table kept at Odiham in Hampshire...from 1st April 1786 to 1st April 1787. Continued from the former Year, by Alexr Baxter Esqr.' Stamped: 'Soc. Roy. Lond. ex dono Auctoris' and annotated with the donation date 28 June 1787.
