DescriptionDaily meteorological observations made at Odiham, Hampshire. Single morning and afternoon observations are presented on opposing pages: the former at times ranging from 6.00am to 9.00am, and the latter varying from 1.00pm to 6.00pm. Columns for day, date and hour of observation, wind direction, barometer readings, indoor and outdoor thermometer readings, and general weather observations. With rainfall in inches

With one gap in the observations, noted in red ink, 17-23 July 1787. Two final pages of tables [pp.49/50] has been sealed together with wax. The manuscript concludes with the brief statement 'I intend in future to begin & end my Journal with the year - therefore the above ends with December 1788'.

Initial page [p.1] stamped: 'Soc. Roy. Lond. ex dono Auctoris' and annotated with the donation date 24 June 1790. A title page [p.9] is inscribed: 'No.3 Meteorological Table & Observations Continued in 1787'.
