Description | Daily meteorological observations made at Minehead in Somerset. Usually three sets of readings per day: the morning times between 6.00am and 8.00am, then at 12.00am midday, and 9.00pm. Columns for date and times, general weather remarks, wind direction and strength, barometer and thermometer readings and rainfall.
Some concluding remarks [p.15] give some details of instruments, noting that 'The thermometer is a mercurial one of Fahrenheit's gradation. The quantity of Rain in Pounds & Centefimals caught in a funnel of 9.33 inches diam...'
