In both tables, columns record: time of observations, barometer corrected mm.; attached thermometer cms.; detached thermometer Fahrenheit; dew point Fahrenheit [generally not completed]; winds; and general weather remarks.

Headed: 'Meteorological observations made at the University of Vt. by Profs. G.W. & F.N. Benedict'. With a note: 'Situation as in Decr. 1837. Instruments the same & corrections the same'. Endorsed verso [p.2]: '1839 March. University of Vt.' with some crossed out text.
