DescriptionCollected tables for one month's observations at Madras [Chennai]. Commencing with sheets headed: 'Abstract of hourly observations...' [of the declination, bifilar and vertical force magnetometers], with the thermometers attached to the bifilar and vertical force magnetometers. Including also the barometer and its attached thermometer, and wet and dry bulb thermometers. Continuing with term day observations of the bifilar, declination and balance magnetometers, beginning on 26 May at 10.00pm [Gottingen mean time]. Also, a general abstract of meteorological observations, direction or azimuth of the wind, force of the wind, and a register of rain.

Each monthly sheet is signed by S.O.E. Ludlow, as Superintendent of the Observatory..
