DescriptionDaily observations of barometer and thermometers. The columns record maximum, minimum, mean and range readings of the barometer, dry bulb thermometer, wet bulb thermometer and a thermometer in the Sun, the latter from 8.00am to 5.00pm. With a column for depression of the wet bulb, and the number of grains evaporated from an area of 78 inches.

Signed by the author [p.1] 'John Porter Malcolmson, Civil Surgeon'. With a note: 'Winds, North East'. Stamped verso [p.2]: 'Received via Southampton 12 FEB. 1847'. Endorsed: 'Meterological [sic.] Observations as taken at Aden during the month of December 1846'.
