DescriptionDaily curves of the declination, horizontal and vertical force magnetometers at Singapore, with individual sheets for each instrument. The curves are arranged vertically, day by day, with one month per sheet. .

Each sheet is comprised of several papers pasted together, headed with the instrument type and date. Signed [p.1]: 'C.M. Elliot 1st Lieut. Engineers, Supt. Magc. Obsy. Singapore' and on each sheet with variations on the same. The data appears on the recto pages, the verso pages having occasional notes on despatch, for example [p.8]: 'February 1843 via Southampton 11 May...'.
