DescriptionTables of dew point observations made at Belagavi, Karnataka State, at the hospital of the 64th Regiment. Readings taken at 9.30am and 3.30pm. Columns for date, barometer, standard air thermometer, standard wet bulb thermometer, dew point by Glaisher's tables, dew point by Daniell's hygrometer, dew point by Regnault's hygrometer, and dew point by Apjohn's formula. With columns for general weather remarks [not used].

Each sheet is headed 'Experimental Observations on Dew Point made at the Meteorological Observatory at Belgaum...', with the month and year and date of completion on the first day of the succeeding month. Signed by T. or J. Mackenzie, as Superintending Surgeon, and by R.T. Buckle M.D., Assistant Surgeon...'in charge of the observatory'. Each sheet is inscribed verso with similar information. Typed paper label [p.24]: 'Belgaum. Daily dew point obs. 1858.'.
