Columns for time, readings and reductions for declination, intensity, and inclination [reductions for declination not completed], temperature in the Horary House [the magnetic instrument house at Flagstaff Observatory], reduction to Fahrenheit, and general remarks.
The volume contains occasional press cuttings, noting earthquakes reported in the region.
Headed [p.1]: 'Melbourne Observations' and signed by G B von Neumayer. The inner leaf is inscribed: 'Presented to the Library of the Royal Society London'.
