Inscribed [p.1]: 'Abstract of daily Observations made in the Island of Borneo, during the minth of October Novr. & December 1842. C.M. Elliot Lt. Engrs. Magnetic Observatory at Singapore'. Inscribed [p.4]: 'Magnetic Observations Borneo October - 1842' and 'Bormeo Observations No.1'.
