DescriptionTables of daily meteorological observations [pp.1-12] arranged by month, January-June 1844, and made at the Colonial Hospital, Georgetown, Demerara [then British Guyana, now the Republic of Guyana]. The readings were taken at 3.00am, 9.00am, 3.00pm and 9.00pm each day. Columns for date, time and Moon, attached thermometer and barimeter (sympiesometer), dry and wet bulb thermoemeters with difference (Mason's hygrometer) and photometer.

Followed by cloud observations [pp.13-36] with individual sheets recording data at the same hours, two sheets per month. Columns for day and date, wind at observation, general clouds, prevalent clouds, point of density, drifting clouds, course and velocity, portion of sky covered, and general remarks.

Anemometrical observations [pp.37-48] registered at 6.00am and at 6.00pm for the previous twelve hours, one sheet per month. Columns for day and date, range of wind for the previous twelve hours, wind at the time of observation, velocity of diffreent winds for the previous twelve hours, total velocity and remarks. .

Hourly meteorological observations [pp.49-52] taken from 6.00am to 6.00pm on 21-22 March (March equinox) and on 21-22 June (June solstice). Columns for day and time, sympiesometer, Mason's hygrometer, photometer, pluviometer, evaporometer, electrometer, general clouds, prevalent clouds, point of density, drifting clouds, course and velocity, portion of sky covered, range of wind, wind at observation, with data from Whewell's anemometer and total velocities. There are actimometer observations [p.50] for 21 March..

Meteorological observations during 'land winds' [pp.71-74], at intervals ranging from five to fifty-five minutes on 5 July and on 15 August 1843. Recording day, date and time (hour and minutes), sympiesometer, Mason's hygrometer, pluviometer, wind and general remarks.,

Electrometer observations [pp.53-54] 4 February-15 June 1844 with columns for month, date and hour, divergence, positive or negative, clouds above the conductor, and generakl remarks.

Sheets have various headings, according to content, with ocasional signatures by Daniel Blair. Most sheets are endorsed verso, with a longer inscription [p.2]: 'B. Guiana Enclosure desp. No.172 2 Aug 1844. Enclosed in 1755 Guiana'. Stamped 'Received Sep 15 1844'.
