DescriptionDaily meteorological records, commencing [pp.1-5] at No.2 Jaun Bazaar Street, Calcutta [Kolkata], 8-19 June 1828, moving to No.4 Chowringhee, Calcutta, 23 October-3 December 1828. The records then recommence [pp.7-9 and repeated pp.11-12] at sea aboard the ship Cygnet, 14 December-6 January 1829. Alongside these are deleted records of observations made at Bombay Esplanade 'near the Church Gate', 24 January and 2-23 February 1829. Columns for date and time of observations, thermometer, dew point and difference, with general weather remarks.

Headed [p.1]: 'Meteorological observations made at Calcutta verandah open to the south second floor of the house N2 Jauna Bazar St'. A later note on the same page refers to the new observing location 'At a window open to the north; third floor of the house N4 Chawringhee'.
