Informs of a compromise offered by Sir John Taylor, who was to communicate on belah of the Treasury with the Societies within the courtyard. Informs of misrepresentations of the issue made by a deputy from the Ryal Academy to the First Commissioner of Works, which has influenced him in favour of the Royal Academy's original plans. Emphasises the Society of Antiquaries view has remained the same and strongly urges their position is reinforced.
