Description | Informs that the application for £200 received by the Government Grant Committee, for the continuation of the tsetse fly study, is not possible to grant due to lack of funds. The board deem the research of great value, however. Brunton met with Mr Beit [thought to be Beit; Sir; Otto John (1865 - 1930)], known to have interest in South Africa, and informed him of the struggle to fund the study. As a result Beit offered the entire sum requested. Brunton encloses the cheque. |
