Description'Sir, I am directed by Mr Secretary Lyttelton to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 3rd of April last, and to inform you that he is in communication with the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury and the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs in regard to the recommendations of the Royal Society for the further investigation of sleeping sickness [African trypanosomiasis], and that a further letter will be sent to you as soon as possible.
