Date5 September 1907
Description'Dear Sir, The enclosed paper was reprinted from the Proceedings of The Royal Society & is illustrated by a sketch; I would be very glad if I might have the loan of the block for the illustration, or, if the Royal Society has no further use for this block, if I might be permitted to purchase it. In the last case I should of course be willing to return it at any time if requested, I may say that I have a fair number of copies of the paper by me, & if at any time you should require copies I will gladly send some. I shall be very much obliged if The Royal Society can & will lend this. I remain, Yours faithfully, B.J.P.Roberts.'
