TitleLetter from Gilbert T Walker, Director General of Observatories, India Meteorological Department, Simla, to the Secretary of the Royal Society, London
CreatorWalker; Sir; Gilbert Thomas (1868-1958)
Date15 August 1907
Description'Dear Sir, I have for some time considered it extremely desirable that the Library of this Department should possess a set of the more recent numbers of the [Philosophical] Transactions of the Royal Society, Series A. It would appear from pages 178-9 of the Year Book of the Royal Society for 1907 that there are spare copies to be ontained and I should be much obliged if you would send me at your earliest convenience a set from 1880 to date. As the Royal Sociey receives all the publication of this department gratis I should like to suggest that these copies of the Royal Society's publications should also be sent gratis in exchange; if however this is not in accordance with the practice of the Royal Society I will remit the cost on receipt of the bill. Yours truly, Gilbert T Walker'.
