Description'Sir, Your letter of November 1. at hand I thank the President and the Council of the Royal Society most heartily for the kind award of the Sylvester Medal. If there is not a quite unforseen obstacle, I shall me give the pleasure, to attend the Anniversary Meeting of the Royal Society and to receive the Medal in person also returning my thanks.
