DescriptionSeeking a paper on the second series of results of the harmonic analysis of tidal observations, published in the Proceedings of the Royal Society, collected by [George Howard] Darwin. States that on page 556 a table is given of the results of Dover & page 556 states the results were obtained by aid of a Royal Society grant. As he is in the process of a rediscussion of the Dover tides, he wishes to examine Mr Connor's work, and informs that Darwin wrote to him that he has a vague idea, that the reduction work of Dover and Osten werre bound in two volumes. Seeks access to the two volumes.
Includes an internal Royal Society memorandum, dated 21 February 1912.
