DescriptionInforms he has recently consulted in the Royal Society archives four letters of Volta dating between 1792 and 1800, at the request of the Volta Committee of the Instituto Lombardo. His task was to verify dates but in doing so he found discrepancies between the letters and the printed copies in the Philosophical Transactions.The Volta Committee requires him to procure photographs of one of the letters and he seeks permission from the Royal Society Council to do so.
