Description'Sir, In reply, to your letter of the 3rd instant, I am to say that it has been noted in this Department that the Royal Society accept the transfer of the application made here by the British Association for a grant from this Department towards the cost of research into the study of the Physiology of Heredity, and that the application will be dealt with by the Government Grant Committee. A letter is accordingly being addressed to the British Association informing them of this decision. I am, Sir, Your obedient Servant, L S Lloyd'.
