Description | 'Sir, I am directed by the General Secretaries of the British Association to inform you that the Council has had referred, to it, from the Conference of Delegates of Corresponding Societies and from the Education Section meeting recently in Edinburgh, a resolution requesting the Council "to appeal to the Presidents of the Royal Society and other scientific bodies to approach the Postmaster-General urging him that scientific publications might be registered for postage reduction". I am to add that the General Secretaries woulld be greatly obliged if, with your concurrence, this matter might be brought before the Conjoint Board of Scientific Societies.
