CreatorEgerton; Sir; Alfred Charles Glyn (1886-1959); British chemist
RecipientMartin; Sir; David Christie (1914-1976); British scientific administrator
Date21 January 1947
DescriptionThanking him for the kind words and for sending the proofs, of which he asks for two small ones and one large one. He reports that he is getting along well but that it is slow business, and he will be bedridden for some time yet. Lady Egerton was bitten by a savage dog and has been in hospital too, but is recovering quickly. He is glad that Professor Hill is acting in Egerton's absence, which comes as a relief to him.
