DescriptionCouncil has agreed that Dr. Hogben, holder of the Mackinnon Studentship, can accept the offer to give a course of lectures at the University of Michigan. The six-month period extends beyond the time for which Hogben holds the studentship, unless he is re-elected. Council's permission is on the understanding that Dr. Hogben would have to supply a substitute at Edinburgh, who would receive the salary pertaining to work in Hogben's absence.
