TitleLetter from Lancelot Thomas Hogben, Society for Experimental Biology, to [the Assistant Secretary, the Royal Society]
Date22 January 1925
DescriptionIn connection with his research into the action of endocrines on rhythmically contractile tissues with special reference to their relation to electrolytes. It is necessary to take continuous photographic records of the electrical response, but the department does not have a paper camera. He asks if Council would authorise a special grant for apparatus. One camera is available from the Cambridge Scientific Instrument Company from £41.

With a note in pencil by Francis Towle: 'This might come out of Mackinnon Fund, if Edinburgh University cannot afford it. But Hogben's Studentship expires this year.'
