TitleLetter from Edward Albert Schafer, Little Gillions, Croxley Green, Rickmansworth, to Robert Harrison
Date10 January 1897
DescriptionSchafer extends his sympathy on Harrison's loss. He encloses an account he has received from Haycraft [not present] showing how he expended the £30 grant he received from the Royal Society; about three years ago, Schafer thinks. He has spent around £27 16s., and returns a cheque for the balance. Schafer discusses dates for a meeting of the Physiological Committee and future arrangements. He would like to look at the paper by W.R. Kennedy on regeneration of nerves before expressing an opinion on its acceptance.

E.A. Schafer was awarded a grant of £30 from the Royal Society's Donation Fund in May 1892, 'to assist Dr. Haycraft in his researches on the intimate nature of secretion'.
