Description | In January last year he received £15 from the Royal Society in aid of research into the action of hydrochloric acid and haloid compounds of hydrocarbon radicals on the amide of acetoacetic ether. He has published a preliminary paper on the subject, which he sends, together with some other papers for which he received a Royal Society grant. He encloses vouchers for rather more than £15, with several articles scored through in red ink - these were used in other work. His former address was the Ladies' College Cheltenham, but from September he will be at the Chemical Laboratory, University College London.
