| Description | Charles Mason and Jeremiah Dixon acknowledge to have received from the President and Council of the Royal Society the several Instruments contained in the annexed schedule which are the property of the said Society for the Purpose of making the appointed Observations at Bencoolen [Bengkulu, Sumatra, Indonesia]; and which Instruments we promise to deliver back upon demand, unavoidable accidents excepted.
Also included is a catalogue of the Instruments to be sent to Bencoolen, Sumatra [Indonesia], to be used in the observation of the Transit of Venus in 1761. |
