Title | Second half of letter from Joseph Henry Kay, Magnetic Observatory Rossbank to Humphrey Lloyd, Trinity College, Dublin |
Date | 2 March 1842 |
Description | [This is a continuation of MS/119/2/104].
Kay discusses Lloyd's supplementary paper on the mutual action of permanent magnets. Kay would like to recreate Lloyd's observatory at Rossbank [located in Tasmania, then colonial Van Diemen's Land], however this is out of his hands. The Rossbank observatory was designed in England long before Kay arrived. Kay informs Lloyd that their hygrometer is broken. Kay requests an additional list of term days and stationary if observations are to continue beyond 1842. |
