| Description | Provides Lubbock with an extract of the letter [MS/123/2] sent to Children by the President of the Royal Society [the Duke of Sussex]: 'if there exist moral objections against men, then, under the seal of secrecy, we are bound to communicate them in the proper quarter for the benefit of the Society'.
Children reminds Lubbock of hints he has received about 'a certain person' and asks Lubbock to consider whether these should be passed to the Duke. He assures Lubbock that he has not alluded to these hints to the Duke or anyone else.
