Sends the two volumes of his "Recherches sur les monumens des peuples barbares" [ likely Vues des cordillères, et monumens des peuples indigènes de l'Amérique, 1810]. Asks for Young's opinion in particular of the zodia signs, calculations, numbers chronology and the Mexican calendar as a testimony of his admiration for Young's work and as a show that the study of hieroglyphs is promising.
