Description | Autographed note with no address but remnants of seal.
Returning papers to Young, although Wollaston did not read them "with the attention they would deserve from one who had read Laplace". Has annotated the copy in pencil in 2 or 3 places, states that no one should object to the introduction, or conclusion. Objects to the 'embellishment' used by Young, and to his use of mathematical symbols which unnecessarily complicates the explanation. Also forwards Wollaston's own paper on 'hydrometry' which is not for press and therefore doesn't require quick feedback from Young. |
