TitleLetter from Antoine [Thomson] d'Abbadie, Paris to Edward Sabine
Date13 May 1861
DescriptionAbbadie has sent [Rodolphe] Radau Sabine’s second volume of St Helena observations, and hopes Radau will be able to draw up before October Abbadie’s report on observations de physique as well as all magnetic observations. Radau will soon be called to arms due to the Prussian conscription, however Abbadie hopes to print his observations by 1862. Abbadie has sent Sabine through his bookseller the second part of his geodesy regarding Ethiopia. Abbadie is currently working on the third and concluding part of the geodesy, and notes the immense expense and maps are causing him trouble. Abbadie then intends to prepare his oral information and numerous vocabularies collected in Ethiopia.
