DescriptionAbbadie thanks Sabine for his paper on comical features of terrestrial magnetism. Abbadie informs Sabine the [Institut de France] is busy with elections, and four new positions have opened in the Académie des Sciences. The Académie will discuss [Léon] Foucault’s merits and other candidates with the election next week. Abbadie in sending [Humphrey] Lloyd his report on an instrument used for surveying and would like Sabine to present this to the Royal Society.
