Title | Letter from Basil Hall, Welbeck Street to Edward Sabine |
Date | [c.1820] |
Description | Hall wishes Sabine success on his journey, referring to doing a good job ‘whether in the north or at the equator’. Hall is unable to answer Sabine’s question relating to Spitsbergen as he ‘does not know the localities’. Hall requests Sabine to look over his ‘sketch of a Voyage’ and would appreciate Sabine’s remarks. Suggests Sabine should ‘conciliate’ Mr Barrow's and share his belief that Sabine’s success relies on ‘making friends of such a man’. |
