Description | Pasley expresses sorrow at the death of Lord Rosse [William Parsons]. Refers to a note from [Thomas] Grubb regarding ‘how to proceed during the time that must elapse before Mr [Warren] De la Rue will be able to make his inspection of the telescope’. Pasley notes the ‘authority’ to make these decisions is with the Committee therefore he forwards Grubb’s letter to Sabine. Refers to the possibility of appointing ‘another member of Committee in the place of Lord Rosse’. |
