Description | Smallwood thanks Sabine for his help in obtaining a chronometer. Smallwood is ‘happy to accept’ the declinometer offered by Sabine. Smallwood was unable to provide Sabine with a ‘report of observations’, however, informs he is now a ‘master of the instruments’. Describes taking observations of the magnetic dip, deflection, and declinometer. Smallwood is currently preparing a report for the House of Assembly ‘showing the work, expenditure’ and to ask for further assistance in payment of instruments. Refers to the electromagnetic state of the atmosphere. |
