DescriptionCommemorating the golden wedding anniversary of Sir William and Lady Crookes, the design features portrait photographs of William and Ellen Crookes in 1856 and in 1906. With Crookes's coat of arms, and the motto 'Ubi crux ibi lux'. Art nouveau floral borders. The text reads: '10th April 1906. To commemorate the Golden Wedding of Sir William & Lady Crookes. On 10th April 1856, at the Parish Church of St. Pancras, Middlesex. William Crookes to Ellen Humphrey'.

Printed by Waterlow & Sons, Limited, London Wall, London. With an associated addressed envelope, inscribed in pencil 'Sir William & Lady Crookes Golden Wedding'.
