| Title | Copy letter from Walter White, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society; to the Dean of Westminster |
| Creator | White; Walter (1811-1893); British librarian and writer |
| Recipient | Bradley; George Granville (1821-1903); English Anglican priest |
| Date | 21 November 1863 |
| Description | 'Dear Sir, Having received our passbook from the bankers' this morning, I find a sum of £64 paid in your name to the Royal Society account. From this I infer that you pay the composition of £60 in lieu of the annual subscription of £4. I has probably escaped you the admission fee is, in all cases £10 and that no annual subscription is payable with the composition: there thus remains a balance of £6 due on your payment perhaps you will be good enough to bring a cheque for this amount when you come to be admitted on Thursday next.' |
