DescriptionCopy of report prepared by the Food Supply Committee of the Jamaica Agricultural Society. Answers the question of banana and sweet potato supply. Notes that bananas are in short supply due to hurricanes -- estimates stock -- recommends exporting the bananas as chips -- gives cost estimates for various methods of storage -- notes that the sweet potato grows easily and land could be made available -- says that a guarantee of price and quantity taken must be made before cultivation. Notes that cassava is not suitable to export because of its long growing time.
