DescriptionHas recieved the memo on scurvy -- would like the Committee to know that this disease was very prevalent in the British Mercantile Marines, but has been almost eliminated -- that the Board of Trade has taken steps toward preventing beri-beri outbreaks in the Mercantile Marines -- would be pleased to arrange for the Board's Medical Inspector at Liverpool to furnish information on the diseases.
