TitleList of enquiries for the Admiralty regarding the Antarctic Expedition, on behalf of Sir William Huggins
Date15 September 1903
DescriptionTyped enquiries with answers written in manuscript. First, to verify if Friday 23 October is the last date for posting to Hobart from England in time for 30 November. Sir [Thomas] Hodich says the Admiralty told him this. The answer notes there is a mail ship, the 'Brindisi' leaving on that day for Tasmania, which will reach Hobart before 30 November. Second, who is managing the Antarctic business so the Royal Society can put some questions to them. The answer is the Hydrographer, and in his absence the Assistant Hydrographer. Finally, asking if Admiral [Pelham] Aldrich is available for an interview. In answer, he is not at the Admiralty at present but can be communicated with.
