Items discussed:

1. Treasurers were authorised to sign cheques for payment of all accounts approved by the Executive Committee.

2. Sir John Evans proposed that expenditure over £400 will require sanction by the Joint Committee.

3. A report of the Ship Sub-Committee was read.

4. A Hygiene Sub-Committee was appointed consisting of Lord [Joseph] Lister (chairman), Sir Michael Foster, Dr [William] Collingridge, Dr [Henry Edward] Armstrong, Dr [Thomas Edward] Thorpe, Dr [Reginald] Koettlitz and Dr W H [Wiliam Henry] Neale.

5. R H [Robert Henry] Scott to be appointed chairman of the Meteorology Sub-Committee.
