Title | Letter from G H [George Hartley] Bryan, Plas Gwyn, Bangor, to [Joseph] Larmor |
Creator | Bryan; George Hartley (1864-1928); Irish mathematician |
Date | 14 March 1904 |
Description | He is mystified by Larmor's letter, since no letter has been sent by Bryan to the Royal Society on any subject whatever. An enquiry regarding the International Catalogue of Scientific Literature was sent by the Librarian, but the reply was that all communications should be addressed to the Bureau of the International Catalogue, not to the Royal Society. They have been put to trouble because the 1903 volume does not caution what the College has a right to expect in the mathematics volume. He has had no definite response from the Bureau on the matter raised. If a letter has fallen into Larmor's hands, he would be grateful for advice on when he could obtain an answer, as the matter will be brought up at his Library Committee. |
